Deutsche Finance America Announces Surpassing $6.5 Billion of Assets Under Management
DENVER (April 3, 2023) – Deutsche Finance America LLC, a U.S. based real estate private equity platform (“DFA”) surpassed $6.5 billion in assets under management as of the 2022 financial year. The increase in value across the DFA portfolio was achieved primarily through the acquisition of The Alton Miami Beach office development site and the continued expansion of life sciences investments in Greater Boston.
DFA’s Prime Office portfolio has remained stable over the last year due to long-term, in-place lease income and low, fixed interest rate financing. DFA’s second life science building located in the Boynton Yards Campus development in Somerville, Massachusetts (808 Windsor Street) is under construction and scheduled to deliver in early 2024. 15 McGrath Highway life science building has begun excavation and foundation work.
Established in 2018 by founding partner and CEO, Jason Lucas, and Deutsche Finance Group (“DFG”), DFA has successfully acquired 15 investments, deploying approximately $3.3 billion of equity and recently achieving $6.5 billion of assets under management as of Q4 2022. The investments include joint ventures with best-in-class operating partners for operating assets and development projects in the life science, prime office, luxury residential, multifamily (including student housing) and build-to-core sectors. DFA’s properties are located in New York City, San Francisco, Beverly Hills, Miami Beach, Boston, Chicago, Boulder and Minneapolis.
